Hi
I am trying to understand what does it mean when a guy says the following:-
"You are lucky that I want to spend time with you as I don't generally want to do that"
Says that I called from one night while at the pub when asked where he got my number .... I did not even have his number until he called.
Nods his head when his mum askes if he likes me (and I am sending at the back watching)
I have just started to get out after a 8 month break from a 12.5 year relationship and seem to be finding it hard to understand the singnals ... or maybe I am missing them totally!

My heart also goes out to you. Like so many other sisters out there, I to was in a abusive relation, mine was even physical. I also fell pregrant and had a miscarriage and when I look back now, I am grateful that happened. I come from a very close family and was always taught to make things work in a relationship. About 8 months ago, I finally broke off a 12.5 year relationship only because that the abuse did not stop. The verbal abuse just got worse and worse... more
