Frustrated

Tue Apr 27 2010 - 11:36 pm Posted in Dating

Ok ladies, I need input! There is a guy that teaches the exercise class that I go to and after a couple months of mindless flirty flirty eye contact during class, I decided to ask him for the artist and title of a song he uses during class, through Facebook of course. He replied and asked if I ever go out for drinks. I was so excited I nearly came unglued! I replied with a "yes, I do like to go out for drinks". After a few days of nothing, he asked if I found the song I was looking for. To which I replied that I had and wondered if he got my last message. more

OMG! A woman after my own

Tue Apr 27 2010 - 11:16 pm Commented in Dating : Paying on dates

OMG! A woman after my own heart! I cannot tell you how many times I have thought those exact thoughts! I swear to you that my ex-husband is that first class jerk you speak of. His parents have enabled him to be a useless jerk because they have never made him clean up his own messes. Even when we separated, they let him move into one of their duplexes, rent free! It has been nearly 2 years and he is still living there....rent free!

What ever happened to the days where they had to...  more

Tue Feb 02 2010 - 10:48 pm Commented in Dating : Dating in small towns

    Hey desertflower,
I feel your pain. I live in a college town as well and it's extremely difficult to meet people who are.....shall we say....safe to date. Unfortunately I was apparently scraping the bottom of the barrel on Match and plentyoffish. EHarmony brought only matches from across the universe. It is so discouraging.

    Meet....or pick up? HELP

    Sat Nov 14 2009 - 08:05 pm Posted in Big Date Check-in

Ok....it has finally happened. I am going on the first date in 12 years. I have mixed emotions. I am a bit of a cynic (sp?) after a pretty crappy marriage, so I don't really know what I expect. my question is this....in today's times, there are some real nuts out there. I am not sure that I want any man to know where I live until we get to know each other really well. I have a child to think about after all. We have agreed to have dinner, but how do I go about telling him that I would rather meet him there. more

Sat Nov 14 2009 - 01:16 am Commented in Understanding Men : Completely new to the game

That is great advice. I spent the latter part of my marriage letting him make me feel bad about just almost everything I said or did. I never felt good about myself because he talked down to me a lot.

I refuse to be that little person again. I WANT to be surrounded by people who make me feel good about being me. Hell, even if that's just me, then I guess that's okay too. I Have been going to the gym and that helps tremendously. This is the first time in years that I've gone long...  more

      Inspiration Story:

"I have been widowed for 7 years and am definitely ready to get back into dating.

...I made my "Vision Board", my "Wish List" of Must-Haves, and posted it on my home office wall, right above my computer screen, where I see it and meditate on it each day.

There is no doubt in my mind and in my heart that "He" will come into my life soon."
