1. Listen to Kat60. She helped me with her great advice too!
2. Watch out that you don't have to do ALL the work with a shy guy though. Because then you'll end up putting him in your wagon and pulling him along through life...like I mistakenly did (with a shy player who took advantage of my gullibility). That wouldn't make for a healthy relationship.

Yeah, it seems like he is AVOIDING the Valentine's Day expectations in his own mind. But maybe he knows he's "not in love" YET and doesn't want to stick his neck out so soon (I'm not sure how long you've been together).
Either way, he's not making you feel good about your relationship and so he obviously needs some SPACE to know how he really feels and YOU just might prefer better treatment by another man!

You've got some really good advice coming in on your thread.
I think that if there is anything to salvage in this relationship, it can only be done by leaving SPACE between the two of you. And that means leave him alone so that he can do the chasing if he really wants you! Without space, there is no distance for him to travel in the chase you want him to perform. Cute, huh?
