Thanks for all your comments. I don't think this "sort of relationship" is going to go on and on like this forever. His book is due 12/15 and he was very clear that after that deadline, and his travel, that he wanted to see where things would lead in January. Last night on the phone he repeated that, this is what he wants. He's not expecting me to wait around without dating, but he did say he could "hope" I knew what he saw in me.
