OH Ebonee YES! Amen! What I was trying to say about teaching men how to treat us really isn't what happens. You captured it, girl. Yes - we demonstrate to them how we value ourselves, which influences how they value (or not) us. Well said.

I have learned so much from this first dating experience since being married for 12 years.
From my life's experiences, I know what it feels like to be on the side of the fence where you teach a man that you are "easy" and available to be used - gag. I also have a taste of what it feels like when I refuse a man, become not too responsive...and then they pursue me like mad. I MUCH prefer the latter, which requires restraint and self-discipline... more

YES! I WILL NOT sleep with him - oh, the pain from that has been excruciating. It is a blessing that I have this chance - I must NOT blow it.
Now - even if our relationship does not go anywhere, I will at least feel MUCH better about it all if I have had the opportunity to see him again without sleeping with him...and tell him what that is about.
