oh little darlin, Yankees fans only come out when they're winning, as I'm sure you notice. To me, that constitutes being a "fair-weather" fan, not a true one. Ebonnee, if someone on the streets of New York City offered me FREE anything, I'd at least be inclined to check it out. It's not negative to be skeptical -- it's just social conditioning at work, kinda like seeing people shrink from a homeless man asking for spare change on the subway, rather than fishing around in their pockets for a quarter. People are basically conditioned to fear "others", and that stems from the tone set by our government, but that's a story for another day!
