TOP 10 SIGNS IT'S A SUMMER FLING

10 ..... Being with him means nonstop F-U-N.
(This, unfortunately, is NOT reality.)

9 ..... You spend every waking moment together.
(There's no way you can realistically keep this
eat-sleep-and-breathe-each-other schedule going.
You're bound to burn out on each other sooner
or later.)

8 ..... When you have a bad day, you hide it from him
because you don't want to be a "buzz kill."

7 ..... You spend more time making out than actually talking.

6 ..... When you DO talk, it's never about real life (your
careers, families, or goals and dreams for the future).
In fact, your conversations don't go much deeper than,
"Should we hit the beach or the pool?" and "Mojitos
or Margaritas?"

5 ..... He forgets your last name.

4 ..... He's got flings going on with other women at the same
time, and makes no apologies for it.

3 ..... He has to leave in six weeks for college/the military/
his home country.

2 ..... You invite him to be your guest at a work function in
October, and he says he's all booked up already.

1 ..... After your romantic picnic on Labor Day, he says,
"Well, this has been fun. Hopefully I'll see you

10 ..... He was somehow connected to your life from the
beginning (a co-worker, a friend of a friend, etc.).
[TRANSLATION: He knows that disappearing at the end
of the summer is not an option and STILL chose to
get involved with you.]

9 ..... He doesn't just live in the moment, but actually talks
about the future. (As in: "I hear the Radiohead tour
is coming here in the fall. We should check out a show
together.")

8 ..... Your dates seem like REAL dates - dinners, movies,
hanging out at each other's place, low-key Sunday
walks - with a few exciting summer plans (maybe a
weekend trip) mixed in.

7 ..... You see each other 3 times a week, max.
(Your priorities haven't flown out the window - you
both still make time to see your friends, have some
'alone time,' focus on work, etc.)

6 ..... He knows your siblings' (and your dog's!) names,
remembers your favorite book and can explain in detail
what you do for a living.

5 ..... He wants you to meet his friends.

4 ..... You can be real with each other. You're the first person
he calls for reassurance when he's had a bad day at work,
and he wants to know what's on your mind. Really.

3 ..... One of you has a birthday during the summer, and you
plan on spending it together. (Bonus points if it's
YOURS and he gets you a gift!)

2 ..... You tell him that you're going on vacation with your
girlfriends at the end of August, and he says that he
can't wait to see you when you get back!

1 ..... When you DO get back, he says, "I'm so glad you're
