Women and Apples

Women are like apples on trees.
The best ones are at the top of the tree.
The boys don't want to reach for the good ones, because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt.
Instead they get the rotten apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy.
So the apples at the top think something is wrong with them when in reality they are amazing!
They have to wait for the right guy to come along.
The one that is brave enough to climb to the top of the tree!
You are considered the prettiest and most phenomenal women in the world.

I recieved this from my daughter in a fwd text message today and felt it fit the situation of Dating without Drama. So ladies keep in mind we are ALL apples at the top of the tree and worth the wait for the right guy. Have a Great Day. Tallandsassy

That is a great proverb, I have so much hope that I will meet a man that worthy of me and can cope with my all round beauty and not think I will disloyal and stick with a woman that they think will always be their for them because the are the bad apples...when in actual fact they are the sourist and rottenist apples on the tree.

That is such an awesome message! I've been feeling a bit glum lately as I see other women with men. (Many of these men are not worthy of these women either but the women settle).

I know what I want, and so many men just don't qualify...darn it all!

I just need to remember that I'm waiting for the right man to climb that tree!

I'm not gonna lie. I hate that poem. But maybe I take it too literally.

If a woman is really as rotten as a "rotten apple" in the poem, then surely a "worthy man" will find it more worthwhile to reach for the "best apple" at the top of the tree because his level of confidence is healthy and he believes he can do that.

And if the poor unfortunate "rotten apples" keep getting picked by the "rotten men" then why does the poem try to say that every woman is really at the top of the tree? If she is the "best apple" then surely a "cheap rotten man" could not even reach her!

The message of the poem is ironic and confusing; admittedly, so is my summary.

I just don't think it tells women that they themselves may be "rotten apples" - in other words, they need to work on their flaws which prevent them from being one of the "best apples" - see what I mean?

A better message would explain how important it is for us to change ourselves for the better, without changing WHO we are. A healthy level of confidence with a common sense critic to help out.

Is this a scientific proven fact? Are the best apples really at the top of a tree? When was the last time anyone checked out an apple tree? Nine times out of ten the best apples top or not, get attacked by vultures and scavengers, they need protecting or need to be robust to survive only to get picked and devoured anyway, if any of them are missed, nodbody gets to taste their juice or sweetness, sourness etc cos they eventually go rotten and drop off anyway.........I wouldn't base my value on an apple tree. NOT. Sorry ladies.....hate to burst the bubble of delusion, just playing devils advocate...Reality is, we are all human, beautiful, lovable etc... we just need to believe it! If the hard knocks of life have brainwashed us into thinking we are less than what we are then checkpoint! Reprogramme your thinking. I'm still working on that at 46. You are all beautiful. Believe it. Go look in the mirror, let your heart shine through, see the real you, not the skin you're in!
