Kick him to the curb!! What a total AZZHAT! Ugh. I suck at reading signs in my own dating life but trust me, I'm good at reading signs in other people's dating lives. He's a flake and will always be a flake and he's just not that interested.
People always tell me (just like your mom told you) that I'm overreacting or not being understanding enough but guess what - I always get proven right. My gut is always right. Kick him to the curb. He's a flake and a loser and his story is total BS.
You were way nicer than I would have been! (I know it's not saying much since many seem to think I'm a bit of a biatch...lol)
Curly,
Yes, in actuality I suffer from a very short B.S. meter and have a tendency to be overly sincere to the point of flat-out confrontation and "tellin' it like it is". Unfortunately other people do not see this incredible balls-out honesty as a positive and instead usually write me off as a crazy person So, to counteract that, I made a very concerted, conscious effort to be curt but courteous in my dealings with him on this. But I completely agree! His story sounds bogus, and its clear he's not that interested. Again, the age old truth: Interested people make time for you. They make you a priority.
I just don't understand why this guy kept my number for a month after our first date and let me know immediately when he'd be back in town and that he wanted to get together. Why do that when you're not actually that interested? Makes no sense. But at any rate, yep, curb time for him. Couldn't agree more.
Because dudes are azzes!!
If I were to write a dating book, it would be one page long, if that.
From what I've noticed in my 35 years is that, if you have to ask questions or wonder, he's just not that interested. As simple as that. When a guy is interested, your gut just knows. The problem is that our brains and other parts try to cover up our gut instinct and that's when we think that maybe we should be nice or we make up excuses for them.
I give you props, Id have called and told him to kick rocks and why straight up.
Dude your a banging someone else on the side, you know it, and I know it. And Im so over this slop coming out your mouth Im a call you out on it.
The end . Feels good.
Yeah, and of course, despite my reaction being cordial as all hell, he never called for another date. Go fig. (Not that I would have picked up that call anyway, but whatever...)
Sounds to me like this guy has a busy social calendar.
He had plans to have Brunch with the chick that was at his house, then boot her out so he could get ready for a date with you, but she decided to stay all day, and he isn't sure if she wants to stay for round two on Saturday night, TRICK!
A bird in the hand is worth two on the text.
Come on Barnie, you of all people should have your BS detector on full alert here.
