what are some of the things that you do to keep yourself occupied and focus on yourself?

My List:

read
spa treatments
go out with the girls
spend some alone time
sleep
embark on a new fitness plan

what else is on your list?

Just yesterday, I went to a very interesting focus tour in the Art Gallery
I actually have always liked going to the theatre and cinema on my own (and I have been in a committed relationship most of my adult life), I realise it is not everyone's cup of tea
Also, why not take classes (learn a new language, a new skill or simply something new to expand your mind)
Join interest groups
Get involved in charity (it will be good for your soul and enhance your happiness level significantly)
Meditate
Take a moment to be still, do some soul searching and reflect on your past experiences and see what you've learnt

go to a movie
go online and chat with someone else. (I assume you are asking because you are in NC mode)
Go shopping
Go to karaoke
Call a girlfriend I haven't spoken to in a long time and make arrangements to meet
drum up some auditions

Cook mega dinner for at least 10 people. That will keep me busy and preoccupied for many happy hours....set the table w/ real tablecloth, crystal glasses, fancy dishes, serving platters.

Yep. And sometimes I cook as Julia Child....never cook w/ wine not good enough to drink. Hee hee!

Last night was apricot chicken, slow roasted beef brisket (sauced w/ red wine demiglace finished w cognac, the meat - not me!), oven roasted potatoes, apple waldorf salad, glazed carrots, fresh tossed salad, steamed broccoli, chocolate cake and a big platter of lemon squares and coconut macaroons for dessert. Also put together a borscht w/ the leftovers for lunch today. Mmmmm.

Can you tell I'm stressed out?

Spa Treatments - Theta - so with you on the spa treatments - I feel like I am walking on heaven after (although I wish it wasn't so expensive).

Watch movies/tv (Really into old classics, foreign and the TV shows Heros and Lost lately)

Read (Someone usually recommends a book)

Hang out with friends (Try out a different place - restaurant/bar)

I am taking an art/drawing class though the local college's community education program and think I am getting better every week! :)

Clean / Decorate - I LOVE it when my apartment looks nice - I once got a compliment that it looks like it was professionally decorated. Now that it's almost the holidays, I can't wait to do holiday decorating!

Work out (ugh...this is SUCH a chore), but I really need to get back into my Pilates.

I attend the symphony once a month, have my once a month "Martini and a Movie" nights (great old movies and discussion - and they're FREE), Church activities, wine tastings, God-daughter and Aunt K203 days...oh my goodness she's wonderful (the Goddaughter I mean), I try challenging physical activities like aerial obstacle courses...Spent last weekend in the city and got invited to a party by a stranger...and WENT! While there also saw a fantastic exhibit of the Magna Carta and learned a thing or two (always attractive), Lots of really great stuff going on at our library, lectures, author events, art shows...there's so much if you just look around.

And I am a HUGE fan of mani/pedi's and an occasional massage.

I've progressed from dwd to lwd ( life with out drama)

:D

Taken a huge trip down memory lane ........Old friends been intouch ...you know the sort how ask you meet up but they actually want you do something for them ......like run them around in your car from a - b. Because you used to ......LOL My favouite word at the moment is NO!!!!!!

Oh then there is the friend who you used to meet up for a mid week natter and Also on a friday night you used to go and play pool with ...........only to find that 12mths down the line you really didn't like them at all .......lol and OH MY GOD !!!! I'm such a snob now lol lol .........loving it!!

The best thing about L.W.D is relaizing just how much you've changed yourself without even reliazing it .

Whats even more enlighting is that the people who at the time reckoned they where only looking out for me my best interests ....actually where not ............Give them a wooden spoon and they would of been delighted as they have wore the one they where using at the time out .....lol lol lol .

So thankyou to paige's book which i haven't used to do dwd cos i'm happy being single .

I applied it in another way ........to L.W.D Thats is a bigger reward than i ever could of expected :D
