Need suggestions for the best Birthday Ever!!

Hi Everybody.
I am turning 50 in less than 6 months. 40 came and went with nothing special as most of my friends are in relationships or with kids and didn't have the time to plan something for me. This time I want to plan something special for myself as I have seen some big changes in my life and even though there is still no one special in my life, there is still much to celebrate.
I haven't taken a holiday just for pleasure in at least 10 years. I want to wake up on my 50th someplace beautiful, warm and exotic.
Chances are very good I will be embarking on my adventure solo. Are there any suggestions for great destinations or tips for single women traveling alone?

cruise ships i hear are amazing for that sort of thing. even if you just bring one other friend with you or travel solo, the experience would be amazing and fun filled for sure :) happy early birthday!

Sweetypie has a great idea, the trip comes with planned activities if you want, dinner companions (for good or for bad lol), excursions, night entertainment and casinos on the ship, so you will certainly find people whos company you'll enjoy.
I've never looked into the singles cruises, makes sense - for that matter there are probably other types of trips that singles groups wil coordinate.
Otherwise there are so many beautiful places. I'm privvy to warm vacations, preferably on the beach, also close enough to places to explore. I can only lie still, even on the beach, for too long.
Lots will depend on how much time you have and budget.
