My wonderful amazing daughter wrote this about 3 months ago, and I just have to share it !
"Life takes my small hand, and pulls me through lots of twists and turns, falls and jumps, walks and runs.
Life is like a maze, it's not fair when you come to a dead end, it's confusing with every step you take.
The more days pass, the further you get through the maze.
And when you die, you shall be happy, for you have found your way through the maze called LIFE."
How old do you think this wonderful human being is, that wrote the above passage ?
My incredible daughter is 12.
What insight!
I wish I had her insight and strength.
~Saucymomma~
saucymomma, she is GIFTED. Not every child has that ability and I hope the dying thing in the poem is not anything reflecting sadness in her...:( I Hope not! But she is talented. Maybe you could enter her poem into a competition. I like to write poetry every now and again...it just has to happen, I can't say oh I think I'll write a poem today, no. It's a spirit, a feeling that moves you to transfer thought to paper. I wrote a poem about my grand baby before she was born and it is framed and on her wall. I'm sort of proud of that! ;) aww shucks! ha ha!! It's called "Once Upon An Angel".
There is a poetry site called "Poetry.com" in case your daughter wants to share... :)
Can you believe the following?
Last night my daughter - the one I started this thread about who wrote that poem- had a dream. Among other things, you know how dreams can be, and she just turned 13, was something that told her she was the Spirit of the Owl.
She had no idea what this meant and neither did I when she told me.
I reminded her that we are part Native Indian and maybe this is her Native Name.
She googled the term "Spirit of the Owl" today.
This is the Spirit of the Owl:
"You have the gifts of clairvoyance and clairaudience... seeing and hearing things that others do not."
"The Owl Spirit is courageous and playful and gives the unique ability to see into the eyes and souls of others."

This describes my daughter ! She has such wisdom and insight in that mind of hers....at 13 !
Before she googled this, I reminded her that we are part Native Indian and maybe this is her Native Name.
And a dream gave her this inclination to look it up !
WOW !
What does everyone make of this ??
Very weird and yet very cool. I'd keep the name...I have a little Indian in me as well. :)
She sounds like a very special young lady.
Hey Saucymomma, keep encourging her and she'll go far. She sounds like a very sweet young lady. Good Luck!!!
They can be so amazing at times can't they, over the years, I can't tell you how many times my daughter has caused me to go aha!
