looking for new friends

Hi, all I am new to DWD and am looking for locals I moved down to FL in May and the only people I have met so far are a generation or two older than I am. I love them but I feel like a child when I hang out with most of them. I need to meet people my own generation at least younger than most of the people I hang out with now. I live in Zephyrhills in Pasco county. Are any of you from this area? Oh, I am 52yrs old. Am not into bar scene. just need some new friends down here had to leave old ones back in MI.

Thanks I started an arobics class today and one of the girls is also in my painting class. We got to talking and she is only 58 and has same problem about finding friends closer to her age to hang out with. She is married 40yrs wow good for her. But her husband golfs, she is learning but doesn't seem crazy about it. But we talked about doing things together or just hanging out. I am so glad to finnally find afriend. Maybe she and her husband know aome nice singles our age. I'll keep you advised as to how it is going. Thanks again oh little darlin.

I'm so happy you are walking. Best thing in the world. It will change your life for the better, guaranteed! SO much easier to do w/ a buddy too.
I've heard from other friends that meetup.com is good too. You can sort by zip code I believe to find people in your area...even your neighborhood.
